Bio: Dan oversees the operations of the Rock District, and is a senior instructor in the Outdoor Pursuits Program.

Dan was a professional competitive climber, then migrated to route setting at a national level. In the mid-1990s he began his career as a professional guide in Central Oregon.

Seeing the need for guided trips in Western Oregon, he created and ran his own Eugene-based guiding company until joining the UO in 2004.
